Booking and Payment Terms
- Reservations can be processed via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Dartford office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The total payment and security deposit are generally collected at the time of vehicle pickup. All charges are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept all major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment systems.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be generated and must be signed by both parties. It is expected that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was received, taking into account normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may incur additional charges. The vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as at collection; otherwise, refueling fees will apply. If you anticipate returning the vehicle late, please contact us as soon as possible, as late returns may incur extra charges. You will be liable for any parking tickets, traffic violations, or other charges that occur during your rental period, along with an associated administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms

Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial exposure. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional coverage is obtained. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms will be your responsibility, regardless of insurance status.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ depending on the booking type and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. Engaging in racing, off-roading, or other risky behaviors is prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Use the vehicle only for its intended purpose and within established passenger and weight limits. Traveling outside the agreed geographic boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and fees.
Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Morden will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our overall liability for any claims will be capped at the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
